Eyes Makeup

A complete eye look usually involves four core products: an eye primer (or a small amount of concealer to even out the lid), eyeshadow for colour and dimension, eyeliner for definition, and mascara to lift and lengthen lashes. Apply in this order for a clean, long-lasting finish. First, prime the lid with an eye primer or a touch of concealer to create a smooth, even base. Next, build your eyeshadow — sweep a light transition shade through the crease, then layer deeper tones from a palette like NUDE CAMO or SOHO NUDES into the outer corner. Once the shadow is set, line your eyes with a pencil or liquid liner. Creasing usually comes down to skipping the prep step. Start by gently pressing translucent powder or concealer over the lid to absorb natural oils, then apply a thin layer of eyeshadow primer. Build your shadow in light layers rather than one heavy coat — pressing the colour into the lid with a flat brush helps it grip the primer. For long days, set your work with a matching powder shadow on top of any cream products. The aim is to add the illusion of lift. On hooded eyes, place darker shadows slightly above the natural crease so the colour stays visible when your eyes are open, and tightline the upper waterline rather than using a thick top liner. Monolid eyes look beautiful with gradient shadow — light at the inner corner, deepest at the outer — and a small wing that lifts upward. Blending is mostly about restraint and using the right brush. Start with less product than you think you need — tap excess off the brush before touching your lid. Use a fluffy crease brush in small, circular motions just above the eye socket, working in tiny windscreen-wiper movements. Keep one clean blending brush set aside to soften any hard edges without picking up more colour. Build intensity slowly in two or three light passes rather than one heavy stroke.
