As a primer, press a thin, even layer over moisturised skin and let it absorb for one to two minutes before foundation; this gives makeup a soft, hydrated finish. As a quick mask, apply a thicker layer on dry or tired skin, leave it for 10 minutes, then gently wipe away the excess with a tissue or cotton pad. It's also gentle enough to soothe skin after shaving, sun exposure or a long flight.

Start with cleansed skin. Warm a pea-sized amount of Embryolisse between your fingertips and press — don't rub — it across your face, paying extra attention to areas that get dry or flaky around the nose and cheeks. Wait one to two minutes for it to sink in fully; this short pause is what stops foundation from pilling. Once skin feels comfortable rather than tacky, apply your foundation as normal. For an even more luminous finish, mix a tiny drop of Embryolisse directly into liquid foundation in your palm before applying.

Embryolisse is generally well-tolerated across skin types, including sensitive, dry, dehydrated and combination skin.
